Ford (Gabriel Byrne: Spider, Excalibur, The Usual Suspects) has forbidden his daughter Virginia (Lindze Ltherman: Clockstoppers, Bicentennial Man) to ride since the death of her mother in a tragic horse-riding accident. But the headstrong and determined thirteen-year-old nurtures the foal of her mother's horse and secretly rides him. With the help of her sister Caroline (Rachel Skarsten: Birds of Prey) and trainer Jessie (Joanne Whalley: Jackie O, Willow), Virginia is hoping to win the annual 50 mile endurance race and break local rich-kid Darrow's (Kevin Zegers: Air Bud trilogy) shady winning streak.
